Ok I have smoked a couple Mustangs before dunno how many were 5.0s I am guessing a few were. I got an 85 gsl-se with a 13b and a kid from another town wants to run. He has a stang and claims it's mean as hell...all stangs I have raced b4 claimed the same thing but they wern't! He has venom 400 chip, stage 2 tranny, (claims it runs 80mph in 2nd gear and 190 toped) and cobra injectors.. Thats all he has..What are my chances against him??? iIt's a 95ish gt I think! I don't know 4 sure what year but it looks like a 95.. I'm runing pretty stock....maybe aftermarket wires and one cat bashed out..what do you guys think??

haha gee thx for the support .... i figured i wouldnt smoke him but by how much would he beat me by?? and ill be gettin turbos soon...then whos toast? only gonna boost up 2 8lbs

how many turbos? 8? You only need 1. Make sure that you have the supporting mods, or else you'll be toast, err, your motor will be. After you get more fuel, a tune, and a better radiator, you'll be good.

fuel... i got 720 injectors and they should handle it and im gonna run the apexi s-afc, tune it, i can do a better rad no biggy. and no i will be boosting up to 8 pounds max... who thinks ill smoke him then?

s-afc is a bandaid. Do you have a wideband? EGT gauge? Get yourself something like a PFC and commander and have it tuned. Also, just injectors = blown motor. Get yourself a pump and upgrade your lines/fpr.

94-95 Mustangs are really slow for Mustangs, but still faster then a stock FB.

95 1/2 mustangs were the end of the 5.0, sold until the beginning of 96, and they rip it pretty good. definitely get your ace handed to ya.

ooh, ooh how bout me, my friend has an 89 miata with a gutted cat and a turbo muffler, ive got a 81 gsl with a pretty much stock 12a with an e-fan, kand n filter, no a/c and an rb exhaust with a cat instead of pre-s??? whod win??

im a good driver, the only thing im afriad of is that he shifts just as quick as me if not quicker but the miatas come stock with a stupid short shifter and hes gonna beat my shift time, i think i can take him though.

I'm not sure how modded your SE is, but mine (which puts out much more that stock power, but not as much as a turbo) Will run just behind a STOCK mid-90's Mustang GT. If the guy can't drive, you can take him. However, it's not hard to make those cars put out much more power, and there's not much you can do without going to a road course instead of a drag strip.
