What is this? Mazda 240RX -HELP
My car was estimated for damage and the adjuster said my car was:
1984 Mazda 240RX. What is it? Does anyone have a picture of it?
My car is a 1984 RX-7, am I stupid, is it the same thing?
I HEARD IT WAS A DATSUN OR VOLVO.

thats a classic. no, your not stupid, he is.
there's a nissan 240sx. but they didnt make them until 89. and a 240z, but they stopped production in '74. the good thing is the 240 is probably worth more. dont say anything and see if you can get more money.

Man I knew there was a reason for cats...
That guy realy does sound dumb, especially for an insurance adjuster. It is their job to know cars...
Comes to mindTime to beat some one up side the head with a Clue x 4
well, KBB lists the Rx at 2,500 retail
240... wait a tic!!! They don't even list Datsun... What's up with that? NADA doesn't either... hmm... maybe they're that rare.
Definitely wait until they give you a price quote before you say anything.

You won't find a Datsun listing after '83. That was the year they changed the North American name from Datsun to Nissan. '83 cars had dual badging, '84 were (mostly) badged Nissan.
Lots of times to avoid confusion, Datsun is listed under "N" as "Nissan/Datsun".
