What lube should I use?

I'm going to drain and refill the transmission and rearend (and motor) on both cars, and I'm trying to decide on lubes.

I figure to just go with good ol' Castrol 10w40 for the engine. But maybe I should switch to synthetic?

I figure Redline for the transmission and differential. I want something that will protect the parts even if I leave the car for a few months (since I may ship one to our house in France). Plus, I'm getting a little crunch going into 3rd in the new-rebuilt transmission on the 83.

The 85 has LSD, but the 83 is std.

redline mt90 for the tranny and 75w90 for the rearend. has friction adders already so it will work in either rearend. many paeople use the castrol gtx. summer months 20w50.

Ha Ha, you stole my line...

I like Amsoil 75W-90 for the tranny and rearend.

Hey, that sounds kinda nasty, too!
