I'm throughly enjoying my Racing Beat Heavy Duty Street/Strip clutch. Definitely is meaty enough for some power and it grabs nice and hard. Welcome to the forums! If you haven't, search the user name trochoid and check out his sig line for links to the online FSM's and Carb manuals. Be sure to post pictures of the GSL!!

Hi, I recently put a new EXCEDY HD button clutch (190% load force, 1 ton clamp) in my 12A turbo. It was reasonably priced ($370 AU) for the whole kit. These are available from Australia to be shipped anywhere, from a well recognised brand.
Apart from the loss of slip when taking off (it grabs pretty hard) I have not had any problems and would recommend these to anyone I know. This is the 3rd clutch in the car in 4 years and has held up to the punishment.

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside.
Choice of clutch will depend on future mods and use for the car. A stock replacement will not hold up if you plan on going to the drag strip, it is fine for a DD however. Button/puck clutch discs have their place, but imho, not a great choice for a stock DD, especially if you do a lot of stop and go city driving or have hills.
The RB street/strip is a good choice as is most any Stage 2 aftermarket clutch kit. If you plan on future hp upgrades, autocrossing, drag/road racing, definitely go with a Stage 2 or better.
In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, carb manual and other rotary related reading. Download whatever you need and start reading.
