Your partially right. All 79-82 RX-7s, base model or otherwise had a FMOC. 83-85 had the beehive oil cooler, with the exception being the GSL-SE which had a FMOC.

err hate bein wrong... the few 1st gens i have seen around here that where gsl's pre 82 had behives but im sure it was do to some1 being lazy and jsut swaping motors.......... thanks for the info i will note it for next time i open my mouth
