I just bought this car and i am wondering what intake setup this is, and if it's any good/how to tune it.

 

you have a mikuni 44phh carb.
very good setup.
easy to tune and work on.
your one up on all these 4bbl guys for sure.

not tryin to steal a thread, or maybe i am what's a used set-up like that worth? I have one I was thinking of putting on my 85...but then I thought of selling it too?

Anywhere from $250 - $450 depending on condition and jetting, etc.

 

That carb, when properly tuned and paired with a good high flowing exhaust (that looks like a RB header there which is a great start) and a good 12A motor is worth about 150hp at the flywheel, a 50% increase over stock. That's about all you can squeeze out of that engine without porting it or going to forced induction.

 

great setup.........its called a LOOP OVER MANIFOLD AND SIDEDRAFT CARB.....people use mikkuni, but i much prefere Weber.....
