I just use a large flatblade screwdriver and pop it off.....carefully.

Hey Neil, theres an SE up at the Windsor PickNPull right now.Its pretty complete, you might wanna scrounge off it before anyone else gets to it.There are also a couple other 1st gens,Im sure you could get a door handle there.

Swap it with the passenger side door. You get a door that works and your ride-grubbing passsenger has to crawl from your side.

Victoria British has the handle, the plate and the screws if you can't find em anywhere else.

Actually the hinge isint what usually breaks. Its the tab that goes to the control rod. If thats whats broken, you can swap them side to side and have 2 working doors again. Mazda put a tab on both sides of the handles so they dont have different part numbers left and right. Basically they are interchangeable.

The SE up there has an almost complete gray interior. They didnt make a black interior in 84-85,but its dark gray like mine.Im pretty sure it was all intact, even the seats and carpet. You should snag it all,a complete interior is rare.
I got lucky with mine since the car had just been set out in the yard,so I got first dibs,it was about 200 bucks for everything.

Not factory.Only 3 colors were availible in the 84-85 interior restyle.Burgandy, brown and dark gray.
Earlier years had tan, black, red, brown and maybe blue?.....I dont think blue came till the FC.
