What Front Air Dam is this?
Heya!
I saw this air dam on another thread but didn't see any response to anyone on where its from. Is this a custom job or made for another vehicle make? I have never seen one like it...
Never really been fond of air dams on 7s, I like the bullet shape the car has out of the box but this one is very appealing imo...
Thanks!

Gotcha kk, thanks for the info guys...
Too bad, I really like the look of that piece. I wonder if I could find anyone to custom make a repilica of that without having to mortgage my house :-)

nope, I've been meaning to hit that up since I've been seeing so many RX-7s at the same places I go to and I want to know who they are.
I'm going to check it out now, providing the girlfriend doesn't get another childish need for attention, lol

SHUT UP!!! DAMN NEWBIES MISINFORMING PEOPLE! That is Amameya San's car, but it is not his kit. It is a Anaversery Racing kit. They're not too hard to find in Japan or Ozzy land has a few look a likes. Good luck getting one here. Its totaly possible and there are a few peeps in the states running around with them, but it will be pricey. AGAIN I SAY IF YOU DON'T KNOW FOR SURE KEEP IT TO YOUR SELF!

And yes, the noobs need to get thier facts straight or just shut up and read.
I'm not trying to be harsh, but somedays it just gets old.
still even if they are wrong he shouldn't jumping down their throats. Be cool about it no one likes to listen to people when they are yelling, regardless of whether or not they are right. Anyway you guys take it easy laters....
To defend my n00bishness and stay on topic: I was referring to the entire car, not just the body kit and airdam.
And yes I am aware of Anniversary. They're hella cool because of their stand alone fender inserts to avoid having to go widebody and all of their other nicknacks they sell, but if you want that exact kit you should contact Amemiya and beg and plead. Wost case scenario is they say no and point you in the direction of all the companies they worked with and you have to recommision them. There are a few guys in Japan that were mostly interested in the internals and engine of the car, but Amemiya-san, to my knowledge, is a happy guy to see his ideas on the street.
Most of Amemiya's products (with the exception of his aero body kits) are improvements on other people's stuff. For example his turbos. Trust makes them, he reworks the mapping and such.

I disagree with the ugly comment, while I am not fond of the entire presentation of the car, I like the front air dam, which was why I asked what it was. I think that car, as is, would look at home at the track. If everybody liked the same **** the world would be a pretty boring place ;-)
In any case what I like about the air dam is it is one of two that I have seen for the FB that doesn't seem to completely obliterate the underside curve of the front end which I like the look of. Its an important aesthetic component of the FB for me. I don't like the look of front air dams that flatten the front of the car by extending straight down from the bumper. Other folks like those, that's cool, I don't. As I said before i have always wanted the performance offered by a front air dam but have seen little that appealed to me personally. Everyone else is welcome to tag this one as the ugliest piece of junk ever. I like it.
Those mirrors look interesting too but its hard to get a good view from the picture. The vents and wing do not appeal to me. Side skirts look decent, needs a subtle rear bumper change. I like the wheels actually white with what looks like a gunmetal blue (maybe its just the lighting) and black trim is not somehting I would have thought of doing but I like it. Looks good without the side rubber too.
I did actually e-mail RE-Amemiya to see if they have any of these floating around. It appears from their web site that several pieces of the kit including that specific front air dam are still avialable. wimpy_rx7 I'll PM you. Thanks for all the info folks!!
