What do you think? Should I buy it????

I have been looking for a bad *** FB to use as my play toy and race car. Fortionatly a buddy of mine from our local Rotary club hooked me up with a friend of his.
Here is what he had

84 s (no sunroof)
Newer black paint job, that actually looks pretty good.
Black 15" Enki mesh rims.
88 13B, with a large streetport, and a Weber 48, and Racing beat INtkae manifold.
The motor has a 5yr 36,000 mile warrenty on it from Pineapple racing.
LIght weight Flywheel
6 puck clutch
Full Racing Beat SP Exhaust.
Ohhh yea, the tranny was receantly rebuilt by pineapple, and had a taller 5th gear put in it.

The car was Dynoed at 150 Hp, and still needs a final tune.
The motor is made to make 220HP at the flywheel.

Drove the car, and it drives great!! Has a **** load of power. 110MPH comes very fast!!

He is pretty firm at asking $3000.
What do you guys think?? ITs going to mainley be a race car and a weekend play toy.

sounds like a great car... and i know that everyone is going to say that 3g's is too much, but here is the thing. For that money, you are getting not only the car, but the labor and parts that were put into it.
I say, if you don't want to 'build' your own car, and you like this one, then get it!... If you want to build your own, then find one for much cheaper and put YOUR blood, sweat, tears, TIME and MONEY into it.

Pretty hard to build a similar car for that price.

sounds like a real good deal for the money. Especially the fact that it has some kind of waranty on the motor.
GOOD BUY.

You're almost always going to be further ahead buying someone else's hard work and investment, than trying to do it yourself...

Yeah that's a good buy. My GSL-SE cost more than that, and it's bone stock. You're getting the lighter body and the strong professionally built second gen motor. It's sounds like a complete car, wheels on up. Go for it! Of course only my 2 cents.

Get it...the tranny trick alone is worth $500, Rob's rep is impeccabel when it comes to the 1stgens....all that custom work for the car is worth $3500 in the engine alone...

First let me say that that's ******* cheap, so ****** that thing up. Just make sure the body's integrity is still intact. Second, would you mind posting your address so I can come steal it promptly after you get home with the car? Don't worry, I'll make sure to leave a 20 in the mailbox

Now I'm being serious; buy the damn car Sounds like you'll have two sweet little rockets then. Sell one to me! I'm still looking for another FB to drive while I wrench my 84 SE. Have fun with it dude, let us know how it turns out!
