This took me about 4 hours...with none of the right tools...it isn't done but i'm really close...all thats left is the right trim...i don't really like the weather stripping there...

well...first i used the original bracket...went through 2 drill bits drilling the new screw holes for the stereo...

then i used sheet metal to cut and form a pocket underneath...that was the tough part...

then i used black felt to clean up the pocket...i still have to find something else to clean up the trim...that weather strip isn't doing it for me

Hey that looks nice, would it be possible for you to extend that aluminum pocket forwards more and just wrap the felt around the edge and tuck it behind the radio benzel? I just quick shopped this, but like so....

cd's or whatever fits...i wanted it more for the clean finish than something functional..if that were the case i would have attempted to make a cup holder in it...(that is still posible)

Good ingenuity... It's lookin nice and probably gonna look great when you deal with the weatherstripping.
