What to do with the whale tail

I am preparing to install a whale tail on one of my rx7s. I am wondering if anyone has done this and if you have any suggestions one how to attatch the tail. Or for that matter, if you have had a bad experience, how not to attatch it.

Sell it on ebay ?

Seriously, its a pesonal choice, I wouldn't put one on a 7. Tails and spoilers don't help much unless your exceeding 90+ mph on a sustained basis and need the down force. So if your going to be doing some touring or road racing it might work but there are probably better solutions anyway.

IMHO, 7s don't look good with it.

One of the biggest things is to attach it so that it will never come off! I attched mine with 2 through bolts with lock washers, and then a ton of stainless screws, of course use a drill bit so that the heads are recessed a little. Then use kitty hair or other fibergalss filler to cover the holes and start smoothing out the top deck. Then use a good body filler and last use Icing to get it real smooth. The biggest thing is you don't want it to move at all when trying to lift up on the tail. I think i used around 20 screws and the through bolts. Make sure that it fits snug and doesn't move.
