what to do ?

alright guys heres my pickle lol .. a friend and i just aquired an 81 gx problum is .. it either needs a replacment carb .. or a rebuild for the carb .. thats our main issue right now .. what iw as wondering is who makes an aftermarket carb and what is essentialy required to make it all work ... forgive my ignorance as i am new to the whole 12 a scene .. any input would be great .. thnx in advance

idk who makes them, but y dont u just buy arebuild kit and rebuild ur current carb.its not that hard unless ur primaries and secondaries are seized.

best be over all so that you know everything is going run right is get the racing beat intake manifold year specific for your car and the holley 600 or 650 carb mechanical secondaries. Those really great on the 12a's

go to mazdatrix.com they sell rebuild kits but dependin on wat year u have it changes the price

Check your local parts store, Canadian Tire, etc., see if they can order a carb kit. Black Dragon sells them too, don't know how good they are though.

The 600 and 650 are WAY too big for a stock 12a. RB sells the 465 with vacuum secondaries for the stock port and street port 12a. you'll flood the engine with that. listen to the older members, like trochoid, and get a rebuild kit.
