What is the Difference Between GS & GSL?

The GS has a standard rear end with drum brakes. The GSL has an LSD rear end with disk brakes.
I hope that's the main point of the difference, otherwise the smaller things I haven't a damn clue!

ok sorry i just needed to know some things i have a gs and gsl and did not know that i have a LSD and rear disk brakes on it so thanks. now can i take the rear axle off the gsl and put it on the gs

The '83 LE was based on the GS sunroof model. According to some sites, the sunroof became standard in the GS around 83 or so. As far as I can tell, about the only items not available on the GS, was PW/PL, PS (84 up) and the rear disk/LSD combo.
