Question What color engine detailing?

Today i got my beauty!!!! My new GSL-SE!!!

I need to know what color to detail the engine in. Red is going to be the easiest, but i'm thinking blue. What do you all think?

The interior color scheme will be grey/black/silver.

Here is the car:

Peace

Geoff

IMHO it'd be neat to detail your engine to match the dominant color of your interior, giving the whole car a two-tone look (paint, 1 colour, interior & engine detail the 2nd colour)

For me that'd mean blood red ignition wires, etc.

Hm!

Grey would do it then... That might look real nice!

Do they sell grey ignition wires?

I vote for Blue. I have the same colour car, and I'm going with the blue found on the 12A air cleaner or maybe black. Since I already have blue NGK wires I think that what I'm going to end up with.

EDIT: I swear I remember my car looking the same as your's in the sun, but it's been garaged for a couple months so maybe I'm forgetting. What colour is your car ioTus?

Iotus,

Ocean Blue Metallic (Rhyll Blue M)?

I'm on my third one (still have 2 of them). Beautiful color. My more original one (still has the floor mats) has the grey interior. The last one I restored I converted the interior to burgundy, painted the engine black/yellow(cliche, I know), and used yellow hoses/wires. Sounds like a riced pimpmobile, but the car is REALLY nice.

Enjoy

Blue. Clean the engine bay really well, and paint the irons blue and the rotor housings silver while you're at it.

I am a bit biased toward that though

I really like just a super clean engine bay with painted/powder coated parts. I'm not really a big fan of many colors in there. A tad of shiny prts works, but just as long as it's spotless it's beatiful.

A bunch of color in the engine bay is only cool if you have serious guts to back it up. "my engine bay may look goofy, but I'll whoop your ***"

Ya i went flat black on my pp12a also. It looks really scarry when you pop the hood and if its dark out you cant even see a motor, and if you can see it bewteen the clean bell housing and the clean front cover its like 13 inches long... HeHEHEH sleeper.

I like "Mazda Blue" for my steels and polish and clear coat the housings. Most of the braided fittings come in blue, wires are blue, and some other bits are anodized blue. The Mazda blue is the color of the MAZDA emblem on the dealer ships. This was the color the factory team used back in the days.
