What can I get away with not having plugged in to start my gsl-se?

A while back I had a fire in my gslse, nothing too bad but melted a couple wires. As far as I know the transmission harness needs to be replaced, and a few plugs and wires on the rats nest emissions system has melted. What can I get away with just to get it started? I’m planning to swap it into a gsl shell and just want it running before I get started with the swap. Most likely I will run a holley efi system after the swap, or some other standalone system so I would prefer to not buy a new harness. If anyone knows of a new harness for cheap that would be appreciated. I’ll try to find a few pictures.

A lot of the damage I don’t have pictures of, but some of the wires fully had the insulation burn off, not sure what to do about oem plugs either, will probably have to wire in new ones.

That more than a couple of wires. Fix the starting and charging wire are a must even to test. The "rats' nest" also contains wires for the throttle and fueling systems. Those have to be fixed also.

What happened to it? Your pictures don't show enough detail to see what's damaged, but they do sho a number of "extra parts" that are questionable. To start it, you could get away with solid connections between the Ignitors and Coils, plug wires (*obviously), and from Coils to Distributor. Apart from that, it should start as long as the Air Flow Meter harness is okay. There's not a lot of rats nest to worry about, as two of those are idle compensation circuit, and the other 2 solenoids are for vacuum advance and retard. Upper Intake Manifold has a number of sensors, but those will work fine if disconnected running in cold start, open loop mode for the EFI.
