should I rewire a TII harness?

basically I'm thinking about doing a turbo swap. but If I get a used harness I want to run new wires. is there anything I should look out for? (yes yes keep track of pin locations...) but anything else? R there wires I can't rerun? thanks for any info.

Just bumping you to the top. BUT, what does *R there wires I can't rerun?* mean??? I'm a functional illiterate, most likely. I'm just not making the connection in my mind. Serious.

maybe he meant "are there wires that don't need to be included in the rewiring process?" like all those pesky solenoid plugs and acv crap.

Yes you should probably run a new Ground System and the Fuel Injector leads

I am sure that has been done before. And I have never pulled apart a rx-7 harness.

But I did pull apart a harness out of a 929 (for cheap small wires) and those harness are crazy on how the wires go.

It would be a serious PITA to rebuild the harness. Is there any way you can go emissionless? That would cut down on a lot of wires. That might make it more fesiable to rebuild the harness.

Working with those connectors is anouther PITA. I don't know if you were planning on just snipping the connectors off and soldering new wire on....or taking the leads out of the connector. I did that and had limitited success.

well my plan was to rerun every wire on the harness. and hailers I meant; R there wires that run to a solenoid or something that I can't replace. (with a new part I could I'm just talking about the wires though) I want to take the wires out by the pins and put new pins and wires in. I want to run better wires cause I know how brittle they get, especially when they're being taken out and put back in a car. it's more or less just a precaution to be sure the electronics won't fail. plus if it works I'll make them.
