What can I do to my 12a ?

Can you guys tell me what I can do to get the most out of my motor? I Still need to keep it as a daily driver but I want to have some fun with it. I know I can get the port and polish, full exhaust, carb. . . But what else can i do to make it faster ?

Thanks

What else? Well you could go EFI and put a turbo on it. But if you can't go turbo, then there isnt much more you can do then port it, a nice carb and exhaust. I run a 12a bridgeport and get around 240hp at the flywheel, but I would prefer a 12a or 13b turbo that put out the same power

if you do all the things you mention and get the car tuned right, i'd probably say the next thing to do would be to work on the chassis and driving techniques. however, if you mean that you'll want more power than what the streetport will offer, then the question is what kind of power do you have in mind?

Well i was talking to dan atkins and he said that the most i can do to the motor was port polish header and carb. (now besides turbo and supercharger) there must be something else. is there a higher port i can do or anything to the carb. to answer that question diabolical1 i want the power to blow away any car next to me while im at the red light

start saving your pennies and see if you can buy a Minardi F1 car then ... (they suck compared to the other F1 cars, but i figured that would make them cheaper - though NOT cheap) - not likely to happen any other way.

but seriously ... forced induction is the next logical step to porting. sure, you can play around with port sizes and port configurations, but the more radical you go, the less streetable you get (i know it's relative, but that's how i feel). so it's a matter of looking at your REAL budget and time-frame, then building a plan around it.
