What body piece is missing?

I noticed on everyone elses 85's, there is a piece going across the front, just below the opening in the front under the bumper. Mine has this missing. Is this the air dam? Seems a little small for that. Anyone know how I can get a white one? Sure looks ugly without it.
Thanks!

What these guys are saying is right unless you have the full air dam on the front of your car, then it wouldn't have anything, but the opening.

There is the grille and the valence (not on the top, but under the grille). It's got vents in it on the 84-85 FBs.
