I got a RV motor made by MAGNATRON (Interstate Batteries). Best darn battery I ever used. it's a deep cell battery. Battery sat for 5 months and then 8 months and still had great voltage and juice.

Out of all the Optima's, Which is the best one?
I am relocating my battery to the rear, so a sealed battery is a MUST.

I plan to have lots of accessory goodies, (E-Fans, Fog Lights, Stereo, Subs, Etc.)

The Optima Web Site seems to point to the Yellow top, but I am not sure..

If you drive it daily the red top, if it sits till weekends, yellow top.

I had a buddy with a yellow top on a daily driver and it needs jumping all the time.

I was given a red top optima by a guy that said it was probably good, it just needed a charge. I put it in my garage. About 2 years later I put the charger on it and installed it in my truck, damn if it didn't work perfectly till I got rid of the truck. Wish I had kept the battery, cost me $90 for a new one.

I heard that the yellow tops are more for a secondary batter than anything...But I could be wrong. I have yet to look at the website, but I personally am looking at a red top if I can find a cheap one...Anyone know where to look?

I didn't want to take a chance, so I have the red top Optima for the daily part of my electrical system and a yellow top Optima for the stereo system that, sadly, never made it to the car before the wreck...

There are 2 major battery makers in the U.S., Exide and Johnson Controls. Exide makes Exide(duh), Delco, Super Start, and several others. Johnson Controls makes Duralast, Interstate, Die Hard, Motorcraft, EverStart, Energizer, and Bosch. Optima is a small specialty manufacturer.
