What antenna to get?

Hey everyone, so I am replacing my old power antenna from my '85 GSL and I'm not sure which one I should get. I either want another power antenna so when the radio's not on, it doesn't stick way up, or I would also be interested in one of the short stubby rubber antennas as well.

What do you all think though? Or what has worked for you?

There was a radio shack unit available until a few years ago that worked well, I still have a couple of these. Jim Roth had a great write up on the installation, which he has updated for some more recent aftermarket units:

Antenna Replacement

You can probably find similar units at autozone or advanceauto and here's one on ebay that looks pretty much the same:

Here's one from ebay that looks just like the radioshack unit:

I had decided that on the GSL-EV I am going to mount the rubber ducky behind the rear carpet and close up the antenna hole to clean up the appearance. I will do this sometime this summer when I do some touch up paint work. This will not give optimum range on the radio but I never drive this car outside of town so what does it matter? On the GSL-SE I have the original antenna working with the stock clarion. But I don't drive that much but it sounds good when I do.

I'm using a Dakota electric window mount antenna filled in the antenna hole and now just have it double stick taped on the rear hatch glass.
