Seriously its a SubZero starting fluid bottle. I think it had some stuff in it that helped the engine start in the colder temps.

it looks like antifreeze in it but it is almost like jelly. all gooey and ****.

Yep...it's a mixture of antifreeze and water for cold start assist. Can't remeber if it's 10% antifreeze or 90% antifreeze. Owner's manual should say.

90% antifreeze... from what I hear they don't really work. I removed mine a long time ago.

no. I imagine that it has been in there for who knows how many years. Just empty and replace with 90% antifreeze, 10% water. Mostly the pump motors fail on these things anyway and don't work. You can just remove it if you want.
