Hey Everybody,

I was wondering if any of you 1G owners could tell me what your Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is on the driver door sticker.

I dunno about my '80, but it's 3400lb on my '85, 1700lb per axle. I have yet to weigh the car to find out how much it actually weighs, but I guesstimate it at around 2500lb. (GSL model w/PS, aftermarket exhaust) That makes for 700lb of load capacity in addition to the weight holding the pedals down and it's safe to say that I've gone over that.

thanks for the replies, I was just going over some stuff in my head about doing a 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen 13B swap into a 1st Gen Rx7.

the vehicle weights on most online sources like www.cars.com and www.edmunds.com are sometimes *way* off from what it says on the car's door sticker.

 

My car, without me in it weighs 1130kgs.
With me in it, probably 1275kgs

I weigh in at 70Kg ! (let me drive youre car and it will do a 10 easy ....lol )

My car, on a weigh bridge test for the engineer report came in at 1065kg (2350lb)

With me in it, it's 1135kg (2500lb) !

Mate, when you circuit race weight is more of an issue than at a super model photo shoot

I found out I could go quicker around a track by over 1.5 seconds without doing more car mods simply by taking 25kg of myself !
