I just got a set of FC plates that im going to use on my FB. Got mine for little under $5 and a FC strut bar for a little under $10. Couple of mods and they should fit nice. Just got to know were to shop and what to search for.

i havent looked into doing this seriously but i've heard of people cutting slots in their strut towers, how's that for cheap?
i have 0% of an idea as to why this is/is not a viable replacement for camber plates however.
anyone care to inform?

Course I have been looking for a little over 7 monthes now. Bid on a couple that were about $50 but alway got out bid. Found a set for 500 yen, put a bid on them and went to sleep. Woke up checked and found out I won at 500 yen. Just lucky no one else saw the auction.

Hey bwaits, I'm interested, got any pix, email me at aussiesmg@yahoo.com

My Aussie mechanice build his by reinforcing the strut tower tops by welding in thicker metal replacements and then slotting them, but the factory tops are not strong enough, they will bend under the loads of serious springs and track days.

surely that's cheaper than camber plates.

A few reasons I can think of would be:

1) Some race classes do not allow you to "Reinforce" anything. So the plates bolt in and allow for adjustment but will also end up adding to the strength of the thin sheet used as stock.

2) Any good set of camber plates are also going to design in a change in caster as well. You would need to slot the holes for and aft to get caster. Now your holes are so big you need fat *** washers and most of the strut top is now gone.

Here we are. These are draft models. First picture is the First generation parts, second picture is of the rx3 parts and the third is a picture of just the slider. I will have rx2 and Second generation modeled by the end of the week.

I am staring one pair of the first gen and rx3 early next week. Anyone who wants to get in at $150 per pair of this run should speak up. Depending on interest we may launch a group buy.

Kit comes with the plates, bearings, thrust bearings, spacers and hardware needed. These will work with stock upper spring perch or most aftermarket perches.

yeah im drained for cash. im finding a way to come up with the money for the big brake up grade though. if the camber plates are available in about a month id be very interested. i might be able to even come pic them up since youre not too far away, but i dont know. id definately suggest a group buy. advertise it first to check interest though
