well, it stopped running

there was a loose wire in the distributor so i fixed it, then started it up and drove it into its parking spot.

next day

Was gonna put new tires on it wouldnt start. I tried ether and ATF only after a little ATF would it even pop and try to start a little.

Left it like that for a while and it still will just try to catch on sorta like its trying to run on one rotor.

What do yall think, ether had no effect on it at all. it has spark n gas. it leaks a little water and i think the OMP is leaking cause atfer sitting a while it smokes at startup

Is it flooded?? Pull the plugs and let it sit for awhile. While you're pulling the plugs check to see if they look fouled..

Well, if ether doesn't do anything, then you don't have spark. Ether should fire no matter what if there is spark.

Dunno if this holds true on ur car, but on mine on the front coil theres a clue blade connector. Pull that and it shuts off ur fuel pump. then u can turn it over and itl start for a few seconds and die. Put the connector back on, and fire her up. Works on my SE, dunno if it will on carbies thou

Save yourself alot of headache and go get some new plugs. The ATF most definately fouled your plugs and even if you do get it started, it will just give you problems down the road. Most likely it will start right up too.
