You may also want to check your coil wires.... might be why it wont start after it was wrecked....

Hmm, you know I remember seeing a relay go flying during the crash so maybe thats it. Too bad I'm about 3 hrs from my car right now or I would try it.

What color's your interior? I might be interested in some of it if it's grey/black... Pretty much everything except for the dash (Cause mine's an 85), the head liner (Cause it doesn't look like you have a sunroof.), and the seats...

I guess your saftey relay worked..... it kills the fuel pump when you wreck, or when the relay wiggs out... so if your pump is dead, check that relay first...

under the driver side dash, by the gas pedal is a really small relay....

take a short wire like 3" long... strip each end and either shove it in the hole, or put male connector ends on it...

I dunno if its on 81-83's, but I know an 84/85 has it....

So thats what that black box is! I thought it had something to do do with the auto tranny I ditched so I disconnected it. My fuel pump still works. Go figure

Holy hell man, thats no good at all! I dont even see 7s that bad in the bone yards around here . Im SO sorry! In all honesty, I think having a wrecked car is worse than it being stolen and stripped like mine. At least I can take my empty shell and once again build it up, but you... Wow, what a project, whatever you decide to do. I cant tell you how bad I feel for ya man.

Thanks for all the support guys. Body shop said they would call me this evening with some kind of number, I'm sure it won't be pretty.

For all those asking questions about what kind of parts I had, etc just take a look at my old pictures of the car:

That should answer all of your questions.

Just looked at the before pics and Now I am really Sad.

I would say 1500 +/- for the front. Less if you brought them the sheetmetel. you could chain it to a tree and use a hand winch to pull the damage out. would be hard to get the headlights to line up correctly.

Not sure on the rear.

Damn. She was in great shape... That really sucks man. My condolances.

Hmmm, so your seats are outta an FC.. I might want those too... Turbo FC or N/A? And you do have a sunroof... Have the glass one around or not?

What kinda price would you be looking for for the entire interior minus the dash. Also minus shipping, cause I'm just north of ya.
< /Vulture >

I could also scour the local Pennysaver and Classifieds for ya for a new (to you) 7 if ya like.

Wow... ok someone wants your dash now... You could have the whole interior gone...

BTW, I'm willing to come down there so you don't have to do any work either... I can remove the interior if you like.

lol, pretty intent on getting my stuff, arent' you Pele? What's going to happen is I'm most likely going to move the car to my grandfather's place in Winston-Salem (he can tow it and already has a bunch of cars sitting around his place). From there I'd like to find someone to take the whole thing. But I'll see how things go.

lol, well their estimate was no estimate, they couldn't source the parts. But if a guess had to be made, they said about $2500 at a minimum but I'm pretty sure that number was pulled out of someone's ***.

Current game plan is to move the car to Winston-Salem this thursday where it can sit until I can find someone who wants it. I was hoping to move it last week but the snow slowed things down.
