.... it runs great... the blue 84 i have... gonna sell it soon, must fix the idle soon

It idles where i want it... after awhile.... but stalls while driving... i dunno where to set it.... at 1400 rpms, it stays right there even while driving... at 1000 rpms... it stalls while driving..... is it because i dont have that one piece that doesnt let the gas retract all the way really fast?

i dunno, any help 'preciated..... its fast as hell with the header on it and healthy compression.... gonna get the exhaust welded up soon....

thanks, Laterz, Andrew

Nah the dashpot wont cause that. I remove them on my carbs. Sitting still how low can you get the idle speed? A healthy, well tuned carb can idle as low as 350-400 rpms and just purrrrrrrr. Of course that too low for normal use, but a good test of how well you have it adjusted.

You gots yourself a vacuum leak. Andrew, you know the drill, check the anti-afterburn hose, block off the shutter valve. Don't go mess'n with your idle and mixture screws untill you've fixed the vacuum leaks. Good luck!

i went through and fixed all the leaks though.....

It idles rough.... but revs smooth..... i just re-rebuilt the carb.... clean tank, clean lines, new filter, different pump, rebuilt carb....ect.....

i can get it as low as 600 but its really really really rough and will die before too long.... what did i miss in the carb? i thought i cleaned everything... idunno.... any more insight rx7carl?

anyother comments innitab?

I hope its not a vacume leak...

i gotta change speedometer cables, get it to idle low, adjust the play in the steering box, fix the exhaust leak... then ebay it...

Thanks, Laterz..... Andrew
