Weighed the SA today...

Went down to the feed store to make use of the scales... (20lb accuracy @ like 16,000lbs)

2400lbs w/ a full tank of gas, my 55lb Sub-box w/ subs, amps and rear speakers in boxes, plus a whole bunch of other random **** in the hatch... so i figure its around 2200lbs without all that **** in there.

needless to say, i'm happy with the result. Hope some of you can make use of the weight information if you were lookin for weights on a fairly normal SA.

-Kurt

btw, 82streetracer, i shipped out your pinion Flange today.

So you haven't really done any weight reduction? I wonder why the weight on the door panel is so much higher...

nope, i have no rear hatch carpet, or AC... still have my HVAC stuff and heatercore. My rims are pretty light though. SA's were lighter than FB's anyway, i dont really know why, but they were.

i'll have to get a weight without all the crap in the car (i really bet its around 100#, and then another ~100# for the full fuel tank)

The weight on the door panel is the "gross weight" aka, the most the car can carry not the actual weight of the car.

Gross weight could also be defined as a really big fat girl that you decide to take home at the last minute because your too drunk to see straight. Yes it has nothing to do with the thread but the rx7doctor is bored, LOL rx7doctor

yeah i gotta find a scale thats not used to load trucks with grain/feed/cornmeal that weigh around 18,000lbs empty and around 40,000lbs full (they sell it by the ton, or half ton)... so technically those scales dont have to be very accurate.

next time will also be with very little fuel, and all the un-necessary crap out of the car. I was right across the street at the post office, so i said what the hell, why not just drive onto the scales and see what happens.
