Weber 36 dcd dual carbs help!!!!!

I have a dcd setup on my 83 gel that I just installed. It will die randomly and it will only idle after it has warmed up. I checked the carbs and I noticed the front carb nearest the radiator does not pump fuel in when the throttle is pumped. The rear carb works fine so I know its not my fuel pump or regulator. When the car is started fuel drips in through the venturi fine. But the thing that squirts in the fuel when the throttle is pressed doesn't do anything(sorry I don't know the name). Any Advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you manually articulate the linkage on the problem carb, does fuel flow then?

I had this setup on my old battlewagon and it was kind of a bitch to set up correctly.

If you check foxed.ca, you'll find the setup manual for these carbs. http://foxed.ca/rx7manual/manuals/Ro...D%20Manual.pdf

yes I move it manually and no fuel flows in. Where as on the rear carb it squirts in if I even move it a little bit

So there's no fuel coming out of the accelerator pump OR the main jets when the throttle is moved? And the throttle plates are opening when the linkage is moved?

Have you had these apart? It could be a jammed accelerator pump or clogged jet.

The foxed.ca site also has a Haynes manual for teardown and troubleshooting details.

I finally figured out it. My fuel pressure regulator had a clog in it. I have both carbs running fine but it still won't idle until its completely warmed up and even then it dies sometimes

just a thought, but my old Dell'Orto used to ice up somethin' awful. maybe that's what you're experiencing. even with the engine up to temp, it would maintain a fairly anemic idle for a long time. eventually all would get right and remain that way until the following morning when i had to go through the cycle again. perhaps that's a part of your problem?

EDIT: just saw that this is a month old, but i'll leave the post in case you haven't solved your DCD issues yet.
