Webber Parts…Needle Valve Damaged?

I’ve been having some troubles with my new Webber DCOE48 Side Draft carbs on my 13B FB. My Holley FPR went bad first off and pushed 12-14psi through the carb. I’ve since replaced it with a Mallory Return/Bypass style FPR and can now hold a steady 3psi.

After searching a bit and talking with Rob at RotaryShack, I think I may have damaged my needle valve from too much fuel pressure. Now with a steady 3psi I still see fuel dripping out of the floats. The car is flooded almost as soon as I turn on the fuel pump.

Also is the needle valve under the 3/4inch bolt right after the fuel inlet on the Webber Carbs (there is also a small filter under the bolt in question)? How do you get it out? Can you visually tell if it is damaged or not?

Has anyone ever had a bad needle valve?
What are the symptoms of a bad needle valve?
I hear people also mention a seat valve, is there one in the Webbers?
Does anyone have a parts diagram for the Webber side drafts?
Does anyone have a “how to”/or tuning doc for the Webbers?

Thanks

Just got off the phone with Rob, it sounds like that is it and I have a new one needle valve in the mail.

Thanks Rob, for all your help. I think we're on the right track now.
