water temp sensor.

I was reading through the Haynes manual, and for the SE it seems like it is showing two water temp sensors----one by the water pump housing and the other in the radiator. I was only aware of one. Can anyone verify this?

Mike,

Yes they have 2.
The one in the back of the water pump housing is the one that you should be concerned with. It is a coolant temp sensor for the ECU that has a major effect on the fuel delivery.

#1 water temp switch (back of the thermostat housing) controls the magnetic choke release on the 12a. On the SE it sends a signal to the ECU. #2 water temp switch (bottom left on radiator) sends a signal to the ECU on both models.

and with these, you still have the coolant temp sensor located under the oil filter on the rear iron just above the oil pressure sender

Yeah, but isn't that one for the gauge?
