Whats the water temp range? Like whats the normal average temp?

no, sorry, i ment like whats the the temp range in like degrees? my stock one does not work, and i'm putting a new one in, and i want to know the range of where to watch.

does 1/3 mean the first tick mark, because mine never moves past that. is that good then?

im a noob to first gens so please be patient with me. ive been doing a lot of searching as well.

Yes, that is near normal. Most I've seen is usually a little past the 1st tic, but you need to allow for variances in gauges and senders. If the engine seems to run cold, check and make sure you have a 180* oem thermostat.
