Water temp gauge question

My temp gauge doesn't work. I need to know what color the wire is that's supposed to connect to the engine (there's a green wire that I connected but didn't make the gauge work).

Would you happen to know what the black wire and the green wires are for?

The black one has a white/grey line through it, and the green one has a yellow line. I'll snap a pic if that doesn't help.

Yes you are right the post is old but you have these younger generation learning about their car and anyone who is also having a hard time finding it because the manual doesn’t explain it clearly where the part is located then they can research it here.

Here's a good example of NOT starting a new thread on something that has been answered. Good to see someone using the search feature.

The search feature on here is garbage for some reason on certain devices , what I recently started using is google with the "rx7club.com" extension and google searches the website and have obtained much better results.

Find it nice as well.. but sometimes one has to go through 20 post to find the start and the end of some problems
