Water temp gauge.

(I did search, also looked through FSM)

I hope to replace the water temp guage on my gsl, 12a of course, with a mechanical one. I couldnt find exactly where this was located as the searched turned up mostly gsl-se's. The main concern is though, if I disconnect the normal water temp gauge will the car run right, minus the choke not turning off automatically. And when I find this should I simply get a T-fitting and run both?

The temp senders are the same on all Fb's. It is located on the same side as the oil pressure sender and is just to the left of the oil sender.

The water temp gauge located in the car has nothing to do with the running of the car at all. The sensor that controls the choke on carb'd vehicles is located at the back of the water pump housing.

I personally have not had a problem with the stock water temp gauge. I have had the sender go bad.
