Water Seal Replacement

Ok, so I've tested and tested and tested and it seems (through the enlightenment of Maxthe7man) My problem lies in the water seal of my 12a (na).

What type of job am i looking at to replace this seal and while i have the engine apart, what can i look for (change) to check for engine wear and things like that?

also anyone know of a good site with pics for the engine removal? I have the haynes (seems to be a good one) and the clymer shop manual.

any tips or tricks that you guys have come accross in your adventures?

cheers'

You have to replace that seal any time you tear it down anyway. I am about to watch my atkins rotary vid and tell you how it is, should be enlightening.

Not that bad. The Chiltons manual (ugh!) has a description of it.
