why are you plugging them? just run a piece of 5/8" hose from the other side of the engine and connect it to there if you arent using your heater

Are you trying to plug your oil or temp sender hole? Those are the only holes I know of above the heater tube. If that's the case, plug them with the senders.

its the water temp sensor hole.... The easyest thing to do is get that sensor and put it back in to plug the hole... BTW you should be useing that sensor so you know what the water temp is anyway...

Get the stock sensor. Read the Size of the thread and then use something that size.

what happened to your original sending unit? i would suggest taking temps from there anyways since its how the car was made.

otherwise, dig through your shop and find a bolt that'll fit to plug it. i personally wouldnt do that though. if you are taking temps up near the rad hoses you have to take into account the thermostat and how those wont ever really be that reliable.

g'luck

I tried all of my taps, both metric and sae, none of them fit in the temp sender hole. Chanches are the brass plug was stripped because it was close, but not the right thread pitch. I know the oil sender is that funky 3/8" bspt, the temp sender may be something similiar. A stock sender, even cut down will be your best bet and fit.
