Wanting To Trade: Considering Interesting Offers on my 85 GS

Hi Guys,

First off please excuse my post in this section. I realize that this thread probably belongs in the classifieds, but I haven't gotten much of a response. Also, I am hoping it will get more serious people looking at it in this section. I have been working for the last couple of years on my 1985 Rx-7 and I have pretty much finished the restoration, and I am looking to possibly move on to another project. I am interested in an Rx-2, Rx-3, or Rx-4. I have also considered Rx-7's of other years, or any other sports car. I have also been looking at a lot of VWs. I am really just looking into the possibility of starting another project since I've pretty much resurrected this rx-7. I'd like to get something in fairly respectable condition to start with, but I'm open to hear any interesting offers anyone might have. I'm willing to drive to pick up a car if necessary. I am located in Richmond, Indiana. Here are some specs on my Rx-7. I am entertaining any interesting offers. I'm mainly looking to trade projects with someone who might be interested....

1985 Mazda Rx-7 GS
-Approx. 90,000 miles
-12A Engine
-Racing Beat light flywheel
-Racing beat exhaust
-Rebuilt carburetor
-New Radiator
-New clutch disc, pressure plate, and hydraulics.
-Accel 8mm plug wires
-New brakes & Master cylinder
-New battery & Battery cables
-Mechanical fan to Electric fan conversion
-Front mount oil cooler with braided stainless lines
-Converted from automatic to 5 Speed manual
-Holley fuel regulator
-Carter 7 lb. fuel pump
-Fuel tank has been lined and restored.
-Interior restored
-Grant steering wheel
-Car just painted white
-MSD Blaster 2 Coils
-Triangulated strut bar
-Fire extinguisher
-Pioneer CD Player in glove box
-Lots of other stuff I probably forgot....

I probably have about $5000-$6000 invested in this car overall. It is VERY quick, and nimble. It handles very nicely, and it is a blast to drive. I also have a set of wheel adapters and 16 inch wheels that I would be willing to trade along with the car. The engine revs smoothly all the way up to 7K. With the mods I have done you can still make your passengers involuntarily stare at the headliner. If anyone is interested, or would like to shoot me an offer please feel free to do so. My email is Glazedham42@aol.com or you can just post in this thread and I will find it. If anyone would like some more pics please ask. Thanks guys! Later....

Jamie

That's a very nice car you've got there. Don't sell it.

Yea, don't sell. Alex is right. You wouldn't get what you put in it, not a chance. I'd pay 2-2.5k for it if I were to buy it though.

The strut bar was made by CP Racing, you should be able to find them pretty easily if you do a search. I can't remember the URL for their website off the top of my head....

Still thinking about trading the beast for another project. If you have an interesting offer, or are interested in a trade of some type please email me. I'm not looking to sell the car outright. Just looking to trade projects with someone fairly local if possible...

I'm looking for something in pretty good condition. I already brought this car back from the dead and I'm not too eager to do it to another just yet. I'm looking for something that is comparable to my 85 GS as far as the condition is concerned....

I've had enough of seized motors, ruined interiors, and rusted out bodies for at least a little while....
