Walbro fuel pump.

I was told that replacing the stock SE fuel pump with a warbro makes a significant difference in acceleration, especially through the higher rpm range. Can anyone validate this?

It's Walbro. :-)

I don't see how it could make any difference unless your pump was not putting out to specs.

FYI: The stock SE fuel pump puts out more fuel than any stock RX-7 Fuel pump including all turbo models.

Doc is spot on this, the way I can see it making a difference is if the walbro pumps out at a higher pressure and creates better atomization of the fuel. That said even if it does, in NA applications, not much gain is seen.

Yes, you can get external pumps that are identical in function to the intank pumps.

not unless you have a problem with your stock pump. as Doc said, it might even be a downgrade, but i don't have specs on either. however, i DO know for sure that it's not going to be a performance upgrade.
