Will I run into problems putting a walbro 255 in my 82? Do I have to modify my tank at all?

Not if you get the inline... it should fit without too much difficulty...

If you have a carb setup there's no need for a Walbro.

I'm using one without problem. I'm using a walbro because I converted to F.I. and I'm using a 85 GSL-SE tank.

You can use it with your existing tank, but if you converted to F.I. i would recommend using a GSL-SE tank because of it's internal baffles to prevent fuel starvation.
If you want to keep your existing tank - then you need to make a "swirl tank"

if not - you will experience fuel starvation during hard cornering

It's a sump. I'm doing a blow through turbo setup using mikuni 44's, s4 13b na motor, stock T2 turbo and manifold.

I don't think it'll fit in tank...

An '84/85 tank would work with some minor mods though...
