Volk racing wheels on the car pictures

Cooper cobra tires

Front 195/60/14 Six inch wide wheel
Rear 215/60/14 Seven inch wide wheel

I have to bend the inside edge of the fenders up to stop a little rubbing on the bumps.

It felt like a whole new car. steering was lighter and more precise.

Please forgive the ugly car, working on the mechanical before i get the the body.... besides it was a $250.00 car

Sweet. Looks great. I didn't think I would say this, but I found something I like better than the mesh or stock wheels. Looks very rally like.

BTW, I love rally cars.

That's an ebay cheap-o, local pick-up to save shipping.. I figured it would get me running till I have more money to get one that will last.

I like the style man, definitely looks chill.

Is your car two tone? It looks like a matte or darker green on the top half and a glossy green on the bottom...

That's actually a neat paint style idea...I like it.

The wheels suit the car quite nicely seanrot. I'm in the same boat as you as far as asthetics go. My car looks like ***, but it's in very good mechanical shape. I spent all the money on the important bits, not the shiny ones.

Thanks,

But the paint is an accident and it just rained (always good for a shine). My guess is the before me the owner before the owner got a cheap paint job but didnt rough the surface first. I guessing about 6~10 years ago do to the condition of the paint. The car is originally red as can be seen coming though in many parts of the car. I think the camera may have made it look better than it is. The plan right now is get some good looking wheels so you dont focus on the car Little farther in the future I will be sanding the green off, fixing rust, and repainting it red.

I just noticed something, and not to dog on your turbo but you really need to put the cover back on underneath the engine cause you're gonna suck water in man. Either that or make the pipe go upwards, straight up. so the filter is not in threat of getting water and being forced into the engine.

I'm not driving in the rain right now. It was hard enough to keep the back tires planted on wet surface when I was playing with it naturally asperated.
Once I'm done working the kinks out the bottom cover will go back on..

I couldnt find any info on them on the net, all they really say is artisan style, rays engineering, and volk racing. I did find a picture (just a picture) with some that look like them but they weren't volks

They are 3 pcs, front weighed in at 11 lbs on the bathroom scale. When the rears arrived I went straight to the tire store and forgot to weigh them. I saw your cars first picture with just the wheel lip I though you had the same ones, then I strolled down and saw the mesh wheels. Nice car BTW, Oh and a update for you. Went up a fuel jet and got rid of the 2500~4000 stumbles and backfires. Now, Im waiting on jets for the 4000 up ones should be fixed by going down on the air jet . Found a guy on ebay selling main and air jets for 2.50 a piece, so Im stocking up

I found out a little on tuning the carb

aircooled.net has a write up on tuning the carb

heres the link

0-2500 idle jet
2500-4000 main jet
4000 and up air jet

Seems to be working so far.
