Vintage Brake Lines

Ran into an issue recently with a buggered up tube nut fitting on an SA brake line. SA's use a coarser pitch (1.25 vs. 1.0) on some clutch and brake components. None of the local parts stores carried anything in 1.25P, on the pre-assembled, un-bent lengths or fittings alone. Found this place that still sells the coarse pitch fittings in both the inverted (double flare) and bubble flare versions.

Can't imagine I'm the only one who's run into this. I think the 1.0 pitch has become the adopted standard that is commonly carried.

I had new stainless lines made and the company used my old lines for a pattern. I actually saved the old lines for ten years thinking someone may want them. Until I ran into them in my shed one to many times a few weeks ago. So I threw them out.
