Have anyone heard before Russell Brake Lines ???
Hi all,
have anyone heard before russell Brake line kits ?
they do manufacture braided brake hose lines for FD. they are direct bolt on.
the problem is that i have no idea and can't find any review regarding this particular braided brake hose.

PRE-ASSEMBLED, DIRECT BOLT-ON BRAKE LINE KITS
Direct bolt-on Brake Line Kits bring the ultimate in braking performance. They improve your braking performance for competition or every-day driving. Replacing the OE rubber hoses with Russell brake lines reduces brake pedal travel for more consistent braking. Featuring stainless steel braided hose with zinc-plated fittings, these brake lines are factory assembled for convenient installation. They meet the strict guidelines of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation MVSS-106 requirements. All Russell brake line kits are for stock applications unless noted otherwise.
how's the performance ?
is this brand reliable ?

Heard of them? Yes.
This recent thread is about stainless brake lines as well.
No mention of Russell, but same topic.

I've never heard of a situation where a stainless brake line failed. Then again, most of us are installing new brake lines on a car to replace the old ones. Most people don't keep cars longer than a few years of ownership.

I have them - Options Auto had some that were dead stock WAAAY back, and I got 'em on closeout for $60 .
Pretty much any braided brake line will generally work, not leak, etc. The Russels that I have didn't fit the OEM brackets well, and I had to do a little grinding to use the OEM retaining hardware. I didn't complain (hell, they were $60) but I might eventually get something nicer.
Didn't really feel a before/after difference with them personally. But, they were cheap .

OLD rubber lines, yes, but lines less than 3-years old, no way.

that's interesting, i saw from my local magazines...even new rubber brake hoses that they replace on the spot... initially they can't differenciate... but when they do hard brakings hard drivings keep pumping... and they feel the braided hoses prevents the brake from fading that early.
