Video of my 12A Blowthrough

Here's the video of my 12A blowthrough. It ends off with the issue I have going with my new timing light not blinking right (I have another thread on it which I thought was resolved by buying a new timing light).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoIDGNdZnLA

I'll post video of me taking some runs next. Was hopeing that someone would recognize whats going on with the timing light by seeing it.

Please let me know. Thanks

Some timing lights are really sensitive. If you are using the 2nd gen leading coil (which it looks like), you may have to move the pickup from your timing light down closer to the plug to keep from picking up interferance from the coil. Make sure none of the other plug wires are touching the pickup as well.

Looks good. One recomendation is to ditch the clutch fan and install an electric. This will not only clean up your engine bay but give you extra power and also since you don't have a fan shroud, keep your motor cooler.

The guage is a universal VEI guage hooked to a plx-m250. The gauge allows you to set the response change rate. I have the response rate set sensitive till I get to final jetting / tuning.

I've been going back and fourth on the e-fan idea and whether to install one. I busted 2 fan belts on my old 12a and it didnt take more than a few second for the temps to sky rocket. I carry an extra belt in the car ever since and to me it's piece of mind because I can switch it in a matter of minutes. Being in Hot and Sunny Tampa I can hold a consistent temp matching the thermostat on the hottest day in traffic so cooling effeciency doesnt appear to suffer. Other than the few horse (which I have read is debateable because of the electrical draw) I'm still not convinced. I know it looks better though ;-).

P.S. I have the shroud but either way on or off it doesnt seem to make an impact till I loose a finger.

Polito.... I never realized that rotary engines are in my blood line. I'm a NewYoRican and up till a little bit ago didnt recognize how many people from PR have heart beats that go Brap Brap....
