Its a straight up racecar.
Obviously he's likely to sell the car to someone with money, and the price reflects that.If you can afford to own and race a dedicated racecar.....(TOY),then 10K for a ready to go car is a good deal, especially if your not inclined or able to build your own.And just cause he's asking 10K for immediate purchase, doesnt mean he'll get it.The opening bid is only 6K,which is a deal.

If you can build one yourself for less money, more power to you.....

Yeah for a racecar it is a good deal, but I personally would rather buy an FB for 2-3k in great shape, spend the extra 7-8k in mods, and still have it street legal. (Though I could never imagine spending that much money in mods for an FB) My spending two grand for a rebuild kit, carb, and port work is going to put me at the amount I imagine wanting to spend on my upgrades to the engine at least.

So what I was getting around to trying to say is that I wouldn't spend that much money for a car I would never drive on the street. Then again I am nowhere near rich.

Is it worth it? Yes. Would I buy it? No, I build my own cars.

If the car is nothing but sheet metal, and a custom frame. then its probbaly worth 8thousend

3K for the frame. 3K for the sheetmetal. 1K for the engine. 1K for the exhaust.

Ok 8 thousend.

My Old cars price guide states a 84-85 GSL-SE in #1 condition at $9,000...

I think alot (Most of us) find better deals but these cars are GREAT old classic's now...
We need to treat them as such...

It burns me to see some old cool car on the road and its a POS, negleted by the owners...

that car was listed before about 2months ago, I guess the bidder didn't pay. Nice car, for 10k it's not worth the 5,000miles it will actually run.

Even though it started at 6K doesnt mean a bidder will win it. Reserve isnt met, I be its 10K either way. I dunno if I could bring myself to by that thing. I like to drive my cars on the road legally and mess with people, not so legally.

i spent about 8K on my turbo SE until the engine let go... now its 9K.

That was the car, paint, new wheels that I haven't put on yet, Haltech and alot of custom work and parts.

For 10K we all probably have a different version of what are cars would look like if we spent that kind of money BUT mine wouldn't look like that.........

I wish I could say 10K was enough to build my car....

If I were ever to sell the 84GS(and Im not)....Id probably start around 10K and work my way up.Fact of the matter is,after 10 years of building, upgrading and saving paychecks and tax refunds,Ive probably got 40K+ into it.But its done now and its exactly how I want it:-)
