from wat the description says... id say its a damn good car. i dunno if its really worth in the 10k range, but wat do i know? haha but 6k.. thats a damn good deal. :)

dean23 06-20-06 09:53 PM

i take that back.. im not fond of he interior at all....hahahaha.

Hades12 06-20-06 09:59 PM

I am a bit wearry of any car that they stop building at the "needs to be tuned stage"

Nicholas P. 06-20-06 10:53 PM

If it is what your heart desires.

RRTEC 06-20-06 11:08 PM

Not a big fan...... Why go that far and then stop?

blwfly 06-20-06 11:08 PM

shit i could do a better setup for 10gran and i dont have a clue:)

steve84GS TII 06-20-06 11:14 PM

Its a straight up racecar.
Obviously he's likely to sell the car to someone with money, and the price reflects that.If you can afford to own and race a dedicated racecar.....(TOY),then 10K for a ready to go car is a good deal, especially if your not inclined or able to build your own.And just cause he's asking 10K for immediate purchase, doesnt mean he'll get it.The opening bid is only 6K,which is a deal.

If you can build one yourself for less money, more power to you.....

Naegleria_Fowleri 06-21-06 12:45 AM

Yeah for a racecar it is a good deal, but I personally would rather buy an FB for 2-3k in great shape, spend the extra 7-8k in mods, and still have it street legal. (Though I could never imagine spending that much money in mods for an FB) My spending two grand for a rebuild kit, carb, and port work is going to put me at the amount I imagine wanting to spend on my upgrades to the engine at least.

So what I was getting around to trying to say is that I wouldn't spend that much money for a car I would never drive on the street. Then again I am nowhere near rich.

Hyper4mance2k 06-21-06 02:41 AM

Is it worth it? Yes. Would I buy it? No, I build my own cars.

Kim 06-21-06 05:31 AM

It must be a real bitch trying to locate an oilleak in that enginebay :D

Exactly...........$10K worth of headaches.

Mike

Nicholas P. 06-21-06 01:05 PM

If the car is nothing but sheet metal, and a custom frame. then its probbaly worth 8thousend

3K for the frame. 3K for the sheetmetal. 1K for the engine. 1K for the exhaust.

Ok 8 thousend.

Nicholas P. 06-21-06 01:06 PM

Add- the motor cost 3700$

Shyshorty15 06-21-06 02:10 PM

Dang i quote people 10Gs on my rattle caned 85 glse just so they leave me alone about it.

saltyslug 06-21-06 03:42 PM

I gotta remember the red paint for my fake white bricks next time.

MIKE-P-28 06-21-06 05:00 PM

Shit if that damn car is worth that much. I should have ebayed my cosmo POS. Damn

Dougster 06-21-06 06:51 PM

My Old cars price guide states a 84-85 GSL-SE in #1 condition at $9,000...

I think alot (Most of us) find better deals but these cars are GREAT old classic's now...
We need to treat them as such...

It burns me to see some old cool car on the road and its a POS, negleted by the owners...

gerbraldy 06-21-06 06:54 PM

that car was listed before about 2months ago, I guess the bidder didn't pay. Nice car, for 10k it's not worth the 5,000miles it will actually run.

razorback 06-21-06 07:13 PM

i think that they have good weed in jersey.

Rotaryshounen 06-21-06 07:23 PM

Even though it started at 6K doesnt mean a bidder will win it. Reserve isnt met, I be its 10K either way. I dunno if I could bring myself to by that thing. I like to drive my cars on the road legally and mess with people, not so legally.

Nicholas P. 06-21-06 09:05 PM

Its not worth 10k.

Throw a 350 in there, then its worth 10K :P

Tsi_Xtreme 06-21-06 09:09 PM

i spent about 8K on my turbo SE until the engine let go... now its 9K.

That was the car, paint, new wheels that I haven't put on yet, Haltech and alot of custom work and parts.

NoPis10 06-21-06 09:23 PM

For 10K we all probably have a different version of what are cars would look like if we spent that kind of money BUT mine wouldn't look like that.........

steve84GS TII 06-22-06 12:01 AM

I wish I could say 10K was enough to build my car....

If I were ever to sell the 84GS(and Im not)....Id probably start around 10K and work my way up.Fact of the matter is,after 10 years of building, upgrading and saving paychecks and tax refunds,Ive probably got 40K+ into it.But its done now and its exactly how I want it:-)
