Red face verifying SE "surging" please

My car... ever since having to push start has had the well known and discussed erratic idle. I am currently going through all the steps and procedures on the "SE Idle" page, but also have another problem. When Im driving the car at any RMP/MPR the throttle is very touchy, If I let my foot off the gas even slightly (from lets say... a miniscule bump in the road) the car boggs down like my foot is completely off the gas. It seems that there is not any play between acceleration and deceleration, which makes it an annoyingly jerky ride, and gives the appearence/sound that I do not know how to drive a damn manual (kind of embarassing). I have read through pages and pages with the search but could not understand or depict if anyone had these same problems. Any ideas... or does this sound like it falls in line with idle adjustments/fuel filter/timing...ex.

Also, since Ill prob get grilled for this post, might as well get another Q it while Im at it.

There are four visible (as far as I can see) adjusting screws on and around the throttle body. Im reading through the SE Idle page and dont want to be srewing with one srew when I should be srewing with another. So just for my own verification...
Facing the engine/passanger side:
-Top/Left - 2 srews (one on top, and one closer to the Dynamic Chamber, buried a little)
-Very top center of the throttle body, in like a bevel
-And I know the last is the TPS adj.

Thanks... and please dont grill me too hard, Ive spent two full work days searching and trying to find the solutions without asking.

Hope everything is specific enough, it kind of got long

If you are having to push start, from flooding I'm guessing, send your injectors out and have them cleaned, first. This could be 1/2 your problem right there.

Check the tension on your throttle cable and the dash pot on the back of the throttle body, there are 2 adjustments that can be made there, but that is rarely ever needed, don't mess with them.

Have you cleaned and tested your BAC?

Mine was bad at surging under light throttle. I checked the bac and reset the tps with no luck. Then one day I cleaned the air filter and it fixed the problem. It has gradually come back so maybe it is time to clean the filter.

Mine surged under steady throttle - DirectFreak was kind enough to send me a replacement solenoid, and it fixed the problem.
