A simple thermocouple is pressed through and between the radiator fins (very carefully, I may add), then as the water temp reaches the set thermostat temp, the fan automatically comes on per the thermocouple switch. I believe the thermostat adjustment **** will adjust from a low of 180 degrees up to 240 desgrees. I use a BlackMagic Fan and it simply doesn't need to run non-stop. It's quite nice.

(edit: Mine is a pull fan mounted behind the radiator. It pulls wind bigtime!)

Buy it at Summit.

You could also get a taurus or fiero fan for alot cheaper. Theres been plenty of people who've used them and are totally happy with 'em. Do a search

You dont have to get the thermostat, if you just splice the power wire from ur fan into any wire that only powers when the car is on ACC or running, such as your stereo control wire (for example...there are others too) the fan will only turn on when thats on...problem is that it runs non stop. But I have a 15 inch flex-a-lite and i run mine like that just fine, no thermostat. No drain on the battery either (cause i have a Yellow Top)
