Vb or black dragon complaint

Last november I swaped a LSD rear end into my car and had to replace the handbrake cables in the process. At the time the company was VB.(since changed name) The cables I ordered were on a back order and I paid a lot of money for these cables (about 100 for all three)

In the time since my LSD swap when I put the cables on :
-my handbrake has failed resulting in my car rolling down a hill into a 06 pick-up, my taillight broke and there is some nice body damage yo my car...with insurance not covering a penny to fix it.
-the passenger cable had always been rubbing on my wheel and in one of my not smarter moves I drove the car for about 6 months while I waited for some off time from work to fix it, the cable rubbing like that resulting in the wheel cracking in half and ruining the tire on that wheel
-once the wheel cracked the handbrake cable snapped at the same time.
-Now I'm e-brake less and just had to buy a new set of wheels/tire (was already going to do this, but this made me do it sooner)

I recently found out from another fourm member that around the same time I ordered my cables VB had gotten a accidental double shipment of the driverside cables and no passenger sides, thus they had been selling a pair of driversides and no passengers to unsuspecting customers, idk if they knew this or not but it has caused me quite a bit of hardship


My question is what should I do/what should VB/Black Dragon do to correct this ?

I think a replacment cable (the correct one) free of charge is all I would be looking for as I already paid for the correct one and they sent me a bogus one, I don't expect them to do anything about the other stuff that but I feel that at least they could do is send me the correct one for all the **** I have been through because of being shipped the incorrect part.

What do you guys think I should do ? How should I handle this ?

If you had brought this to their attention 6 months ago they would probably have fix it up no problem, but now your kind of SOL I bet.

Yeah your situation kind of sucks. You should have defiantly done something about the parking break cable rubbing as soon as you noticed it.

I guess you could try to get in contact with them and see what they say about maybe giving you a discount on the correct part but I doubt they will just give you one for free. Unless they feel really bad.

But I don't think that they are obligated to replace the part. Because as you said you noticed the problem 6 months ago and kept driving with the incorrect part and because of that it broke. There was nothing physically wrong with the part you got to make it fail.

What I would do is tell them a sob story and that you don't have a lot of money to buy a new one and see if they are willing to help you out.

you used the part anyhow.Even though it was the wrong Part.Seems to me you Should have Made sure the Parts were Correct before Installing.so really VB may have Screwed up,But you did too..(most likely they won't do a Damn thing)..sorry about your car,though.

Good News : )

I talked to VB/black dragon today, I explained what had been happening with the inccorect cable and I told them that I found out they had sent me a incorrect part from the beginning and I think that persueded them to help me out. Anyways they are sending me a correct cable free of change and it should show up this friday.

I called them and talked to them very professionally without any atitude and I think it helped my situatuation turn from your sol. to getting a free replacement peice shipped.
