Vacuum switch (only M/T)

For the life of me, I can't find Vacuum Switch (M/T only) on my car. Where on earth is it? Carb? Air cleaner? Black hole which sucked the driveableness (is that a word) out of my car?

I am not sure on the '83, but form the '85 FSM it looks to be near the carb. Hope this helps some.

Couldn't find an extra place for the hose to go. Maybe my carb's a gimp?
