Question Vacume Secondaries spring

Does anyone know if a new one comes in the carb rebuild kit? Or what the spring rae is on them? Mine is gone and it's causing the engine to bog. Will one of the springs in the Holley Vacume Secondaries spring kit work?

Any help is appreciated.

My rebuild kit didn't have any springs in it. Just needle valves and seats and lots of gaskets.

The spring does not come in a kit. It has a pretty good tension to it. Best thing to do is have someone you has one to measure the overall lenght to start with. You could try and universal throttle spring that you can purchase at any auto parts place.

Nope it doesnt come with one. Yes you can use a Holley spring. Get the assortment and start with the softest one. I think the yellow worked the best but I cant recall for sure. You can attach it to the cover with a dab of silicone to keep it in place.

My input sucked on this one. I was thinking about the large spring that keeps the secondary linkage attached. :-)

A spare stock one? I have one for you if you want it. PM or email me and its yours.

Oh and you dont have to cut the Holley spring, that just makes it stiffer.
