Vacum
For those that offer some assistance on my previous thread Too much fuel, need some advice.
I have searched for a How to remove the rats nest and unnecesarry vacum on my GSLSE. however it just leads me to the 12A rat nest removal.
I want to remove all unnecessary vacums, cold start and even the Cruise maybe .
not only do I want to clean up the engine but my switching selenoid valve is broken where the hose plugs. most emmision parts ar not available.
before I throw in new plugs I will also recheck the timing and re adjust the idle.
What can be taken off, what gets capped and what needs to stay.
I plan to add a RB header and collector again later. I hate all the mess of sensors and wires everywhere.
I plan to take on some other projects for my car but want to go step at a time
1. simplify the wiremess , clean up engine bay and eliminate vacums/ emmisions.
2. Tackle the low oil preassure reeading
3. recheck the cooling system might go electric fans
fixed the center console and radio cover ..
thanks for any advice

Your not the only one looking to take out un necessary vaccume and electrical componets in a SE.
I removed the smog pump, air valve, sub zero, Cruse control, replaced air box wit cone filter, removed AC pump and coil.
Can any one ad more to my list? Im not concerned with emissions but I don't want to remove items that affect daily drivability.

+ 1 i have been searching for this info for a while. havent gotten anywhere at all. i have done the same... "I removed the smog pump, air valve, sub zero, Cruse control, replaced air box wit cone filter, removed AC pump and coil." i have the full RB street port exhaust and have an S4 intake on my engine but i still have the rats nest... one of the nipples broke off one of my plastic thingies to the vacuum advance/retard. i not sure if it made a diff but i would like to get rid of that mess.
